Tempo for Claude — Claude Code usage tracking
Getting Started
- Install the macOS app first. It reads Claude Code usage data from your Mac.
- Sign in with your Anthropic account on macOS to authorize data access.
- Keep the macOS app running in the menu bar for live data.
- The iPhone and Apple Watch apps sync data from the macOS app via iCloud.
iCloud Sync Not Working
- Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled on all your devices (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive).
- Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID on Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.
- The macOS app must be running for data to sync.
- Sync can take up to a minute on first launch.
macOS App Setup
- The app appears as a menu bar icon after launch.
- If Claude Code usage shows zero, verify that Claude Code has been used in the current session.
- Re-authorizing your Anthropic account can fix stale or missing data.
Apple Watch Sync
- The Watch app requires the iPhone app to be installed and synced.
- Open the iPhone app once after install to trigger the first sync.
- Complications update on the next background refresh cycle (typically a few minutes).
Usage Data Not Updating
- Confirm the macOS app is running and you are signed in.
- Usage data reflects Claude Code activity from the current session period.
- Sessions reset at the time shown in the app — usage resets to 0% after each reset.
Tempo for Claude is an independent app and is not affiliated with Anthropic.
